Half Log Wall System

Golden Eagle’s half log homes are conventionally framed, insulated 2x6 inch exterior walls with one of our half log styles attached to the exterior. Golden Eagle’s corners are cut out of a solid log so you can’t tell it from a full log home.

Shown is a 10 inch half log corner assembly. We apply Log Builder Caulk™ to each course of log to protect the log and to increase the energy efficiency of the home. We also supply DuPont Tyvek House Wrap™ to further increase the home's energy efficiency.

Absolutely, positively nobody can question the settling issue, the energy issue, the running of electrical or plumbing because this is a conventionally framed energy efficient home. The inside of the home can be half log, knotty pine / spruce tongue and groove planking, drywall, plaster, stone, tile or any combination thereof.
