Golden Eagle Log Homes Eagle Point is popular from the Rocky Mountains to the Appalachian Mountains. This log cabin started out as an Eagle II and we had so many customers design their home like this, we decided to make it a stock plan. This model is 24' wide and 46' long with three bedrooms, two baths, a covered porch, a big deck, a stone fireplace, an open concept floor plan, and a two stall garage. Everything you always wanted in a log home at an affordable price. The Eagle Point is available in full log and split log. What is full log? Full log is a solid log like you might expect a log home to be. Split log is a partial log or half log attached to a 2" x 6" conventional insulated wall. Other companies call it by different names. Tomahawk calls theirs "Energy Log", and Wisconsin calls theirs "Thermal-Log". Whatever you call it, it is a 2" x 6" conventional wall with a split log on it. Golden Eagle Log Homes split log is for people who might not want as much wood on the inside, or are worried about wiring or settling issues with full logs. By the way, settling is not an issue with our full log because we sell only dry logs.
