Cost Example:

• The Double Eagle Deluxe Package Price in 8x8 Double Rd. peeled Full log is $228,448 plus tax of $12,564 for a total of $241,012.
   
• Let's start with the building permit. $1,700 is pretty common, the price can range from $25 to $6,500.
   
• To dig and backfill your basement will cost about $3,500. If you are in rock or clay, it will be more. Tree removal will also be extra.
   
• Most concrete basements with footings and foundation insulation for both the house and garage will be around $21,966. Drain tile will add more, if your lot requires it.
   
• This is a full log home example, but the interior partition walls still need wall coverings like knotty pine tongue and groove and drywall. Typical costs for this will vary depending on how much of each, but let's estimate $11,000.  

• $8,000 is the plumbing figure including water heater. Remember the fixtures, tub, sinks, stainless steel kitchen sink, faucets, etc. are in the standard package price.
   
• Forced air heat and central air with labor $12,000.
   
• Electrical labor and materials were $12,500. Remember we included a $850 lighting allowance for light fixtures in the standard package.
   
• We have a $2,000 wood flooring allowance in the package, but you will still need to purchase an additional $11,210 more in carpet, tile, etc.
   
• The labor to stone the fireplace is $3,500.
   
• The general carpenter labor should cost $92,000. This could be high or low depending on your area, and how much you want to do yourself. We are finding "shell only" labor to be about $50,000.00.  

These figures are based on our 8"x8" #8 profile Full Log package. 8" Split Log would cost approximately $10,000 less, 8" Peeled Split Log would cost approximately $11,000 more. We are not saying your home will cost exactly this much, so check with your local dealer for exact pricing.

Typically customers who buy a larger, more upscale home, like this Double Eagle Deluxe, add in many options and features. In that event, figure in an additional $25,000 to $75,000.
